from the cuisine to the mineral water: let's hear it for the Pays Basque

We're all going to be gulping down plenty of liquid this summer. So what's your go-to brand of mineral water? Personally, I try to buy as little bottled H2O as possible. But if I do have to buy something off the shelf, I know which one I'm going to seek out: the one on the right.

Ogeu is Pyrenean water, from the Pays Basque. It tastes alright — better than most and as good as you can expect for liquid that's been encased in PET plastic for months on end.

But the main attraction here is the price: ¥48. That's the kind of sticker shock I like — even if I can't pronounce the name (from the katakana it seems to read something like "o-joo").

I'm surprised this brand wasn't being offered at Abasque...

I spotted it earlier in the month at a branch of Yamaya. How long stocks will last, though, is anyone's guess...
