
Hantei is one of the landmark traditional buildings in Yanesen, the locals' term for the Yanaka-Nezu-Sendagi area. In fact it's a shitamachi classic. It also happens to serve pretty decent kushi-age. You'll find it just steps away from Nezu subway station.
A full ten years has passed since I wrote up Hantei in my Japan Times column. But things don't change too much in this part of Tokyo.
Apart from driving electric cars, of course...
