It's the classic Japanese summertime snack combination: eda-mame beans and a nice cold beer.
And this is the version we were served at Florilege last week: one-bite eda-mame fritters, served along with a refreshing beer sorbet.
The beer was Kronenbourg blanc, sharp and aromatic (and the eda-mame on their stems were uncooked, just for show).
