It's a handsome Georgian building right on one of the main streets running in/out of the old city. You can think of it as the London Road, if you like. But the actual address is far more exotic: 23 The Vineyards Off the Paragon, Bath.
The interior has been barely touched in over a hundred years...
The open fire is in the Glass Room; there's another smaller room further in, looking onto the hand pumps in the bar. But don't dare to stand/sit by the entrance: that's reserved for longtime regular customers, some of whom have been drinking there for half a century (and look like it).
There's also a lounge bar. Back in the day, that's where the ladies were supposed to sup their mild ale.
There's no food menu (just crisps and the like)...
Nor is there a jukebox. And there are absolutely no slot machines, one-armed bandits, video games or other such modern frivolities. Darts is not on either. Cribbage is permitted in the Glass Room, though, as is shove h'appeny (surreptitious iPhone snapshot).
