As for snacks, my current favourite nibble while watching the action — if I find myself anywhere near Tasuichi in the backstreets of Shibuya — is deep-fried gobo (burdock) sticks, with a mayo dip. One of those 'only in Japan' snacks!
They're great — and healthy too. No empty calories here, they're full of dietary fibre too. The only drawback is the beer selection at Tasuichi, the (non-) choice being SuperDry or Heineken Dark.
