simmering emotions

Another cold snap. The perfect weather for a nice steaming pot of pungent oden. Especially if it comes in a great, colourful Yokoo Tadanori-esque package — like this one from Shizoooka (that's Shizuoka for the rest of us).

Time too for a pilgrimage across town to one of my favorite oden shops...  the wonderful, atmospheric Otafuku, on the fringes of Asakusa, founded 94 years ago.
