There is still no cheese seller in Tokyo to rival the outstanding Fermier. We dropped by the Shibuya branch, in Tokyu's Food Show depachika earlier this evening to pick up an order of premium Valdeón (goat's-milk blue cheese from León) and Manchego (sheep's milk). Needless to say they were in absolutely prime condition.
What more can you say? They were outstanding, and a perfect counterpoint to an evening of tapas and Basque fish stew, accompanied by some nice Rioja etc, of course.
